About Me

I am a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at OVI Lab, University of British Columbia – Okanagan Campus (Prof. Pourang P. Irani). Prior to that, I was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Synteraction Lab, City University of Hong Kong (Prof. Shengdong Zhao) at the Smart Systems Institute, NUS (Prof. David Hsu). I completed my Ph.D. at the School of Computing, National University of Singapore, where I researched  Human-Computer Interaction (Visual OHMD Notifications) under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Shengdong Zhao. Before that, I was a senior software engineer at Sysco Labs, Sri Lanka, working on integrating hardware devices with Cake’s point of sale (POS) applicationsDuring my undergraduate studies at the University of Moratuwa, I studied electronics, telecommunication, biomedical engineering, and software principles. I also joined the Augmented Human Lab at the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) as a research intern and researched different ways to augment human senses. I am interested in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), the Internet of Things (IoT), and Wearable Technology, which enhance the perception of humans while simplifying lifestyle. I enjoy leisure time reading novels, exploring innovative designs, and hiking.
