This research addresses the difficulties in navigation faced by visually impaired persons in unfamiliar environments and the scalability of such system. As a solution, we came up with an indoor navigation guidance system using particle filter for localization and spatialized audio (using OpenAL) for interacting user. It consists of Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) beacons, a smart phone and a (bone conduction) headset. This shows a promising approach for large scale deployment of indoor navigation without disturbing to the perception of users.
