After earning my PhD, I had the chance to go back to my old university, the Department of Electronics and Telecommunication at the University of Moratuwa. It was like coming home, but this time, I was there to share what I’ve learned. I gave a presentation about our latest project, the heads-up computing interaction paradigm, and talked about the research opportunities at NUS. It felt great to share this with the students there, answering their questions and seeing their interest in the topic. I have to give a special shout-out to Professor Dileeka Dias for making this possible. It was a day I’ll always remember fondly.
The slides are available to check out for anyone curious about the presentation. It covers most of the content I discussed about the new computing paradigm and what we’re exploring at NUS. This experience reminded me of the power of education and how important it is to pass on what we learn. I hope my visit inspired some of the students to pursue their own research paths and maybe even join us at NUS one day.
